Clearing Cache and Cookies

Overview

This article will explain how to clear your browser's cache as a first troubleshooting step when facing issues with the Agemni site.

This guide is applicable to the following browsers:

Steps

  • On Internet Explorer:

  1. Click on the gear icon (Screen_Shot_2018-12-17_at_11.16.03_AM.png) and from the menu choose Safety > Delete browsing history or press on your keyboard Ctrl+Shift+Del

  2. Choose the types of data or files that you want to remove from your PC, and then select Delete. The most common selection is the one shown below.

  3. A confirmation message at the bottom of the window appears once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies.

  4. Done.

 

  • On Chrome:

  1. Launch the Chrome browser.
  2. At the top right of the page, click More (Screen_Shot_2018-12-17_at_10.51.05_AM.png).
  3. Click More Tools > Clear Browsing Data.

  4. A window displays options with checkboxes and a Time Range field.
  5. In the Time Range drop-down menu, choose the appropriate period of data that you want to clear.  If you want to clear everything, choose All Time.

  6. Choose what you need to clear, the most common selection is to check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  7. Click Clear data.
  8. Done.

 

  • On Firefox:

  1. Launch the Firefox browser.
  2. Click the Menu (Screen_Shot_2018-12-17_at_10.18.34_AM.png) button and choose Options.
  3. Select Privacy & Security.
  4. In the Cookies & Site Data section, click Clear Data.

  5. Uncheck the Cookies and Site Data.
  6. Check Cached Web Content.
  7. Click Clear.
  8. Close the browser.  All changes made will be automatically saved.

You may also set Firefox to automatically clear the cache when Firefox closes:

  1. Click the Menu (Screen_Shot_2018-12-17_at_10.18.34_AM.png) button and choose Options.
  2. SelectPrivacy & Security.
  3. In the History section, set Firefox will to Use custom settings for history.
  4. Select the check box for Clear history when Firefox closes.
  5. Click the Settings button. The Settings for the Clearing History window will open.
  6. In the Settings for the Clearing History window, check the box next to Cache.

 

 

  • On Safari (Windows):

  1. Launch the Safari browser.
  2. Click on Tools (Screen_Shot_2018-12-17_at_11.32.15_AM.png) > Reset Safari...

  3. Check Empty the cache and Remove all cookies, then click on Reset.

  4. Done.
  • On Safari (Mac OS):

  1. Launch the Safari browser.
  2. Click Safari in the upper left-hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences.

  3. In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab. Click the button Remove All Website Data...

  4. Click Remove Now in the pop-up window that appears.

  5. Done.
